Sorry for the overkill of bright colours and dizzling use of effects, I know this pallet is getting boring by now, but it's just the way my hand keeps painting it... And I know the fire vs water theme is getting VERY repetative in my gallery, sorry about that, moving on to other subjects soon...
Wow! That's amazing! I don't really know anything about Avatar, but I really like the art anyway, and the colours look so awesome and the whole feel of the thing is really cool and glow-ish!
I love the symmetry of the water and fire. The whole structure of the picture is awesome, it draws the eye in but without looking too crowded. Great job!

This composition is so well done. I like how you didn't make Sokka and Zhao on the same level; the asymmetry of those two is one of the things that make this picture so interesting.
The water vs. fire thing is a cliche, I admit, but it usually works well and makes since like it does here.

thanks! The size of the characters also has to do with their 'importance' in the composition: Aang is bigger than Iroh, but smaller than Sokka. Suki and Azula aren't equal either. It's either complete symmetry (the water and fire pair) or complete asymmetry ( the rest) or it won't work
Ah, gorgeous work. You definitely did the series justice ... such a beautiful piece!
I personally quite enjoy the vibrant colours - Avatar is full of vivid scenery and characters, so it works rather nicely. I'd have to agree with MimiUsa on the symmetry - it's very eye-catching, having some parts of the picture symmetrical and others not quite so much.
The lighting is incredibly well-done - the sudden shift in colours where the light is bouncing off the characters has such an intense effect. Lovely job with the water and fire sprays as well; all of their poses are so nicely pulled off ... the change in dynamics from Katara and Zuko to, say, Iroh and Sokka, really works. The whole motion of the picture is very pleasing to look at - draws the eye to every character in turn.
Ahaha, and how can I not enjoy that you've placed Toph front-and-centre? She is most excellent. ;D
Niiiiiice work babe - any joy on your new website yet? x
