This is so superb. Waterbending is my favorite art form and these two are my favorite characters from their respective series.
I love the colors used here; the tones of blue and green complement the warm hues of their skin. Your overall style is just major eye candy. I also adore the fact that you chose to depict them in "fancier" Water Tribe clothing than what we have seen them wear in either LOK or A:TLA. As you said, it's an official demonstration, and I think the designs are so well done.
If I were to watch this performance, I would cry and shout "take THAT Northern Water Tribe!"
I love the movement here and the colors look fantastic! I like how you showed their characters in their bending and poses too: while both graceful (and no doubt powerful!), Katara takes a more formal and refined stance showing calm and expertise whereas Korra uses big, arching movements for her forcefulness. Definite plus that the composition looks kickass too!
ha thanks! I imagine that with older age and fewer mortal-danger-street-fighting war situations, Katara's bending becomes more and more 'pure' and meditative, like those old martial art masters. They can't do a backflip anymore but there movements are the highest level.
