I just saw this impressive documentary by
Aidan Hartley on belgium tv:

[link]Somehow it makes me even more angry than full blown open war. This sneaky, lying, frustrating injustice, and the feeling of being helpless... it makes me wanna study law, get an army of suits and reporters and SUE SOMEBODY. Bizar how in a country that appears so polished and modern, people don't seem to have any rights at all. Would it be the same for richer/more educated/more powerful people?
Of course this is just the tip of the iceberg: there's Tibet, the Falun Gong genocide, the torture etc etc etc..(there's a nice list and some links
here) I knew a little about these things, but being the ignorant unaware westerling that I am, it took a documentary like this to make me actually feel something about the issue. As always: images do the trick.
Boycotting Beijing 2008 sounds like a nice step, too bad there's so much money going around that a small minority of human right fighters are never going to stop this giant.
Just my thoughts on a much larger and more complex problem than I can imagine.
